Seargent James Chifamba and Constable Trymore Mukunza were filmed accepting bribes from drivers of kombis, taxis and public service vehicles at the Mabvuku turn-off along the Harare-Mutare Road.
A video circulating on social media shows one officer, dressed in a helmet and police jacket, chatting with a kombi conductor who discreetly hands him an undisclosed amount of cash before quickly returning to his vehicle.
The individual filming claims that he observed the officers accepting bribes from over ten pirate taxis and kombis. The officers would stop vehicles and, as the conductors or drivers approached, they would silently exchange money and leave in seconds.
