EPL: Chelsea Continue to Climb as Contenders Stumble
Chelsea continued their fine form edging closer to Liverpool and reducing the gap at the top to just 2 points though Liverpool have a game in hand.
Chelsea 2-1 Brentford
Chelsea edged closer to the summit of the Premier League, now just two points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand. It was a nail-biting affair as Brentford rattled the crossbar shortly after Chelsea's keeper, Sanchez, pulled off a stunning save. Nicolas Jackson netted his ninth goal of the season, while Bryan Mbeumo scored his eighth for Brentford.
Southampton 0-5 Tottenham
Southampton's woes continued as they were obliterated by Tottenham, conceding five goals in the first half alone. The newly promoted side's dismal run saw their manager sacked post-match, as the Saints remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
Manchester City 1-2 Manchester United
In a dramatic Manchester derby, City took an early lead through Josko Gvardiol's header from a corner. Despite United's flashes of brilliance, City dominated until a catastrophic back pass from Nunes in the 85th minute. Amad seized the opportunity, was fouled in the box, and Bruno Fernandes coolly converted the penalty. Moments later, Amad outran City's defence to score the winner, making it Ruben Amorim 2-0 Pep Guardiola.
Brighton 1-3 Crystal Palace
Brighton were outclassed by a swift Crystal Palace side, who capitalised on counter-attacks. Disgruntled Brighton fans began leaving early in protest as their team faltered.
Nottingham Forest 2-1 Aston Villa
Forest's remarkable rise continued with a comeback victory over an inconsistent Aston Villa. The win keeps Forest in the hunt for European places.
Arsenal 0-0 Everton
Arsenal's frustration grew as they dropped points again, despite dominating possession. Everton's deep defensive setup proved impenetrable, with Odegaard missing several key chances.

Newcastle 4-0 Leicester
Newcastle returned to form with a resounding victory over Leicester, leaving Ruud Van Nistelrooy's side reeling.
Wolves 1-2 Ipswich
Relegation-threatened Wolves suffered another blow, leading to their manager's dismissal after a defeat to Ipswich.
