Videos Found on Rape Accused Manager's Phone
Musa Nyasha Dube Manyika, an Old Mutual business development manager, is facing two counts of rape involving a University of Zimbabwe student.
The State has revealed that Manyika pulled a Baltasar Engonga style following revelations that there are videos which were extracted from his phone.
The videos extracted from Manyika’s mobile phone will be used as evidence in the trial.
Old Mutual Manager Forces Himself on Student Intern
Manyika appeared before magistrate Estere Chivasa, facing accusations of rape and blackmail.
He allegedly threatened to withdraw the student’s Old Mutual scholarship if she reported the assaults.

The trial was delayed due to the discovery of videos on the complainant’s phone.

The prosecution, led by Chido Gohori, needs to provide these videos to Manyika’s defense before the trial commences.
The alleged incidents occurred in November 2022 and June 2023.
In the first incident, Manyika invited the student to assist him at Old Mutual Gardens. He allegedly raped her in his office and later offered her gifts as an apology.
In the second incident, Manyika lured the student under the pretense of a career discussion. He allegedly raped her in his car near Ashbrittle Shops.
Sexual Harassment Allegations Against TM Pick n Pay Manager
Manyika denies all charges. The trial is scheduled to begin on February 3rd.
