“I won the AFRIMA last year thanks to your votes, let's see if we can bring another two awards home this year Ammartia”. she said sharing her joy with fans on her Instagram page.
These awards are meant to celebrate African talent as evidenced by Ammara Brown's single Svoto ft Mr Eazi which has led to this prestigious recognition being nominated amidst two amazing lists of powerful women in the music industry across the continent including Kelly Khumalo, Zonke from South Africa alongside Tamy Moyo another Zimbabwean star raising the flag high as well as Cleo Ice Queen from Zambia and many others.
Indeed this shining star has learned from the best coming from a family of talented musicians as she is a daughter of the late music legend Andy Brown, Stepmother Chiwoniso and younger sister Chengeto. Ammara's latest single ‘Tichichema' has also been well received by fans.
