Shocking: No Elections At Congress
As 'endorsed' ED Appoints Executive
It has been described as a sham Congress as there was not even a single vote cast.
All the members did was to ‘endorse' ED as their president for the next 5 years. Apparently there was no challenger. In a departure from the Congress norms, there was no elections for the other positions.
ED simply handpicked those he wants to work with. In other words, the elective congress has become a handpicking Congress.
The President appointed:
1. Cde Chiwenga as 1st Vice President & 2nd Secretary
2. Cde Mohadi as Vice President & 2nd Secretary
3. Cde OCZ Muchinguri as National Chairman
4. Cde O. Mpofu as Sec for Administration
5. Cde Chinamasa as Secretary for Finance
