Social media row over Winky D's South African citizenship

Zimbabweans have expressed their outrage over a mix-up that wrongly identified international award-winning artist Winky D as South African.

Reggae-dancehall star Winky D, together with hitmaker Nutty O, were featured on the upcoming album “Africa Unite: The Singles Collection” by the late legend Bob Marley.

Charts Africa, a music news website, posted a list of artists on the album and Zimbabweans are breathing fire.

Posting on its Twitter page, Charts Africa shared a list of all the artists featured on the album and their nationalities. Winky D’s name was accompanied by a South African flag instead of a Zimbabwean one.
