South Africa – Social media personalities Better Kudakwashe Madhuyu and his wife, Kylie Tonsani, known by their followers as Tytie and Kiki, have lost a defamation case against lawyer Moreboys Munetsi in the Johannesburg High Court.

The couple was found guilty of spreading false information online. The case was brought against them by lawyer Moreboys Munetsi, who accused them of defaming his character by labelling him as “evil” and a “liar” on their social media platforms.
Additionally, Tytie and Kiki reportedly shared Munetsi’s personal mobile number with their large online following, leading to further harassment.
Munetsi reported the incident to Sandton Police Station, and the case was heard in the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, in Cape Town under case number 16255/2024.

Represented by Advocate Isiah Mureriwa, with legal instructions from Simbarashe Kanyoka, Munetsi successfully argued his case.
The court ruled in his favour, finding Tytie and Kiki guilty of spreading falsehoods and causing unwarranted harm to Munetsi’s reputation. It is not known how the Facebook couple will raise this money.

Meanwhile, Sherlyn Sims, also known as Sherlyn Dzinzi, from Zimbabwe was convicted by a jury of plotting to launder and laundering the funds generated from various romance fraud schemes and business email compromise plots.
These cyber-enabled offenses led to over $1.2 million being redirected to bank accounts overseen by Sims, following which she promptly moved, withdrew, and used the money.
