“I Sell My Snakes to Maporofita Ekufiyo” says Mbare Woman Found With Dead Snake
Zimtrending News picked up a story about a huge python discovered under Gogo Stella’s bed.
As it turns out it has been established the snake belonged to a Seke thigh vendor operating along the Mukuvisi river who got the snake from a client and intended to sell it in Mbare to ‘prophets’.
Virginia Mutenda,29, claims she was duped by her client she had rendered her services to who did not have money and the snake was meant as payment whereupon she was told she could make money at Mupedzanhamo market.
‘Memo’, as Virginia is popularly known in her thigh vending circles, told H-Metro in an interview that she had gone to Stella’s place to enquire how much she could sell the snake for only to be taken to the police by Gogo Stella.
“Shato iyo ndakaipihwa nemumwe mukomana akanga aiwana yakafa muna Mukuvisi, saka akandipa achiti ndinoitengesa kuMupedzanhamo Market kwadzinotengwa nemaporofita ekufiyo,” said Virgina.
She has since made amends with Gogo Stella who was then accused of witchcraft after the incident.
Stella had not been at her house the day Virginia brought the snake as she was at her boyfriend’s Place so Virginia slept in Stella’s room with the snake under her bed.
“I agreed for her to sleep in my room so that Gogo would not worry much about my absence, unaware that Virginia had a snake with her.
“Upon my return, Gogo SImbi had no kind words for me over the accusations levelled against her by the people who thronged her place.
