Ropafadzo Foundation Trust is helping underprivileged children stay in school.

Ropafadzo Foundation trust was founded by Panashe Bwoni a holder of an LLB Law at Unisa, The University of South Africa. She is advocating for basic education for children, helping boys and girls to stay.

Panashe Bwoni founded the Ropafadzo Foundation Trust with the aim of making a better tomorrow for the financially challenged children in schools. Her initiative is to give children resources to stay in school, such as fees and stationery. The project is community-based.

The founder said that she believes education is the key to success.

“I believe that education is the primary vehicle by which economically and socially marginalized adults and children can lift themselves out of poverty and obtain the means to participate fully in their communities”

“The average fees for a whole term in Mbare is ZWL $90 and many parents and guardians are really struggling to pay these fees.The foundation has been trying to assist disadvantaged kids to attain basic education,” said Bwoni.

Mbare was her first stop this year.

Education should be accessible to everyone and is a basic need, Ropafadzo Foundation Trust is an inspiration towards making a brighter future tomorrow.

On her birthday, Panashe bought 51 pairs of school shoes costing ZWL $80 a pair helping out kids to look presentable at school as she campaigns for basic education for all.

 

The Ropafadzo Foundation Trust is bent on assisting children to have a comfortable educational experience offering back to school goodie bags which includes their school fees paid for the whole term, a new pair of shoes, a pencil case, stationery consisting of pens, pencils, crayons, ruler, eraser costing ZWL $1133.15.

Panashe Bwoni has been providing sanitary pads for the rest of the year to girls as the prices for pads are no longer affordable so that girls would not miss school.` These sanitary pads are also included in the back to school goodie bag for girls.

The Ropafadzo Foundation Trust is an inspiring reminder that we can all make a difference.
