Chipinge 76-year-old Granny Nabbed For Growing Mbanje

Chipinge ZRP arrested a 76-year-old granny on Saturday, Ruth Utete from Chief Muusha’s Zimunda Village in Chimanimani after the police discovered a marijuana field at her backyard.

I repeat a field of marijuana (Mbanje) at her backyard.

The suspect has since appeared before the Chipinge Magistrate Courts on Saturday afternoon where she was remanded in custody to Monday.

About 500 marijuana plants with an estimated measurement of about 1.5 metres were shown as an exhibit at the court.
