Juve Loses $700 000 For Failing To Field Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus have had to lose US$675 000 for not fielding Cristiano Ronaldo during a friendly soccer match against a South Korean team in 2019.

Juve had been set to pocket US$ 3 million as match fees but they had to forfeit $675 000

The promoter of the game has also been told to compensate 162 fans for the Ronaldo no-show. The fans claimed that the fact that Ronaldo did not play caused them ’emotional distress’.
