CCC Faction Wants to Keep Chamisa’s Face

New spokesperson of the CCC's Biti-Ncube faction, Jacob Mafume has clarified their position with regard to using former leader Nelson Chamisa’s face on the logo.

CCC Task Jameson Timba to Engage Chamisa

The Citizens Coalition for Change came into existence in 2022 and had since been using Nelson Chamisa’s face on the logo.

However, he left the party bare and scurrying when he dissociated himself from CCC.

Chamisa said the party is now deeply contaminated and infiltrated.

He has yet to inform his supporters of his next move, though people expect him to launch a new party with the colour blue.

There has been chaos in the CCC since his departure, and there seem to be many factions.

There is the Biti-Ncube faction that is trying to resuscitate the now defunct MDC Alliance structures of 2019 Gweru Congress that announced Welshman Ncube, Tendai Biti, and Lynette Karenyi-Kore as presidents on a rotational basis.

There is another faction led by opposition stalwart Jameson Timba with Promise Mkwananzi as spokesperson, which purports to support Nelson Chamisa.

When Chamisa threw in the towel and quit CCC, people expected the remaining politicians to revamp the logo and remove his face.

However, Mafume explained that the face was not going anywhere. Speaking to Technomag, he explained:

There must be a lesson to Zimbabweans that when you lend your private parts to organisations, the organisations might be tempted to keep your private parts.

You cannot complain.

Mr McDonald cannot complain that my burgers are still being called McDonald’s burgers long after I started eating Kentucky Fried Chicken.
