EPL: City in Crisis as Arsenal & Chelsea Share Spoils

Mo Salah continues to bang them goals as Liverpool maintain fine run. City recorded their fourth defeat in a row something that had not happened since the 2018 season. Arsenal's title hopes keep dwindling as they failed to convert chances and drop more points at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal

In a well-balanced London derby, Arsenal's skipper Martin Ødegaard made a triumphant return after a two-month absence. Ødegaard assisted Gabriel Martinelli to open the scoring in the 60th minute. However, Chelsea's Pedro Neto equalised ten minutes later. Kai Havertz had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half, and Leandro Trossard fumbled a last-gasp winner, leaving both teams to share the spoils.

Manchester United 3-0 Leicester City

Manchester United continued their resurgence under caretaker coach and former player Ruud van Nistelrooy. The Red Devils outclassed Leicester City in all departments, securing a convincing 3-0 victory and showing signs of a promising turnaround.

Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle United

Newcastle United had to come from behind to beat a stubborn Nottingham Forest. Alexander Isak once again proved to be the hero, leading his team to a 3-1 victory and maintaining their strong form.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Ipswich Town

Tottenham Hotspur's inconsistency was on full display as they were downed at home by league returnees Ipswich Town. Ipswich, who had last won a Premier League match 22 seasons ago, stunned Spurs with a 2-1 victory, reinforcing their reputation as a banter club.

Liverpool 2-0 Aston Villa

Liverpool continued their fine form with another counterattacking masterclass. Mohamed Salah assisted and scored, becoming the first player to reach double digits for both assists and goals in all competitions this season. The Reds secured a 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Manchester City

Injury-riddled Manchester City suffered another defeat, this time at the hands of Brighton. The Seagulls had to dig deep to come from behind, with Joao Pedro emerging as the game changer in their 2-1 victory.

Brentford 3-2 AFC Bournemouth

Brentford edged out AFC Bournemouth in a thrilling 3-2 encounter. Bournemouth, known for their giant-killing exploits, stuttered against mid-table Brentford. Yoane Wissa is fitting nicely into Brentford's false nine position, contributing significantly to their win.

Crystal Palace 0-2 Fulham

Crystal Palace struggled without the services of the injured Eberechi Eze, falling to a 2-0 defeat against Fulham. The Cottagers capitalised on Palace's weakened state to secure a comfortable victory.

West Ham United 0-0 Everton

West Ham United and Everton played out a goalless draw, with neither side able to break the deadlock in a match that lacked clear-cut chances.

Premier League Standings

Liverpool now sit top with 28 points, five points clear of defending champions Manchester City, who have 23 points. Chelsea are third with 19 points, followed by Arsenal, who have the same points but an inferior goal difference. Manchester United are 13th with 15 points.

Elsewhere…
