Money was their Motive: Magaya

Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder Prophet Walter Magaya finally spoke about the rape allegations that were levelled against him by several women from his church, which prompted the Zimbabwe Gender Commission to open a case against him.

Prophet Magaya said he believes that he has full protection of the law and hopes that the authorities realise their mistake of failing to see the selfish motives that drove the women who accused him.

“I’m only crying because they are not seeing the motive behind the things I have been accused of, most of the things were motivated by the issue of money more than anything else.

“I think the authorities will extract the truth, since the word gender refers to both men and women, I anticipate my right as a Zimbabwean citizen will be protected.”

Magaya also denied accusations of him bribing the Zimbabwe Gender Commission to stop investigations against his case.

Prophet Walter Magaya was accused of raping and impregnating his church members’ 17 year old daughter who he had adopted in January 2013.
