The government recently introduced the $100 Million tertiary student loan facility to help the underprivileged students who may not afford fees.
The loan facility comes in handy given that state universities could be charging more than $15 000 a semester once all ancillary fees, accommodation and meals have been added on top of the Government-controlled tuition fees.
Zimbabwe tertiary students can download the application forms below and fill them in and then take them to their university/college.
Tertiary students loans are meant to assist, first and foremost, needy students enrolled in State Higher and Tertiary Institutions and especially applicants in the following national skills deficit areas:
– Natural and Applied Sciences;
– Medical and Health Sciences;
– Engineering and Technology;
– Law;
– Agriculture.
Payment of the tertiary loans to the student will cease if conduct, attendance or performance is unsatisfactory. In such cases, loans advanced together with interest accrued will be repayable forthwith.
