Former Juventus Defender retires at 32

Former Juventus defender Benedikt Howedes has left Lokomotive Moscow and decided to retire from football at the age of 32.

In 2017-18 Howedes played for a loan in Juventus for one season before he shifts to Russia for a lifetime deal from Schalk 04.

Howedes told De Spiegel that he loved playing football until the end and it is difficult to give up but maybe corona virus and the games behind closed were messages he was waiting for to quit.

He went on to say that money is not more important because he already earned enough.

The defender played three games in Bianconero and he was able to score one goal out of three in which they won  3-0  as they were playing against  Sampdoria on the 15th of April 2018.
