Armed with a Llama pistol loaded with four rounds of bullets, the masked criminals thought they had the upper hand. But they hadn't counted on the bravery of Irene Samupindu, a female money changer.
Last Friday evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, the robbers burst into Irene's bedroom. With her three children and a 16-year-old maid by her side, Irene fought back. It was like a scene from an action movie—the odds stacked against her, but determination burning in her eyes.

The police later apprehended two of the criminals in Chipinge. They confessed to not only this attempted robbery but also to a string of other crimes in the farming town. Irene's quick thinking and unwavering courage had put an end to their reign of terror.
